I'm Chevalle. Currently, I am in my Junior year at Ronald Reagan High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Having been born into quite an artistic family, I've been drawing and creating art for as long as I can remember. These days, I tend to gravitate towards marker and/or pen illustrations with lots of detail and contrast. For me, incorporating various art forms into my own work has always been important, so you may find that much of my artwork derives from different photographs, films or television shows, and musicians that inspire me. I aim to communicate emotion and action through my art. I do not see any limits as to which moods I can convey; I love to experiment with meaning and purpose.
Growing as an artist is a lifelong goal of mine and I am always excited to try new mediums, techniques and practices to broaden my horizons, which is why IB art is so appealing to me. As my portfolio expands, I plan to explore how using a range of artistic methods can impact the overall feeling of a piece. It's crucial that I pay close attention to the link between specific visuals and emotions as I analyze works from other skilled artists, as well as when reflecting on my own projects.
